Planning carpet cleaning in Clapham

Pristine works with facilities teams, managing agents and business occupiers in Clapham. Request a site survey for a one-off clean, a maintenance programme or both. Coverage and availability are confirmed using the site postcode.

Who is responsible for which carpet

An office occupier and a managing agent can share one building but hold separate carpet responsibilities. Identify each approver, budget and access contact before the survey so the two scopes stay apart.

  • Office carpets
  • Shared stairs and lobbies
  • Communal seating, separately quoted

Comparing the occupier and shared-area scopes

In a mixed-use building, such as offices above shops or a commercial floor within a residential block, the office occupier and the managing agent may each be responsible for different carpet. Agree the boundary before the survey so each quote reaches the right approver. We clean commercial and communal areas only, never inside private homes.

Both scopes can be cleaned on one visit where both approvers agree and access lines up, but each keeps its agreed scope on the quote and completion record. Confirm who should receive invoices for each scope before the visit. How a shared-area cost is allocated between occupiers is for the managing team and its advisers to decide.

Communal seating is assessed and priced separately from the carpet; see commercial upholstery surveys.

Choose the scope your building needs

For an office, include carpet tiles, desk routes and meeting rooms as separate zones where their condition differs. For a managed block, list communal corridors, stairs and lobbies against the correct building and floor.

Survey, price and access

We measure the carpet, assess its condition and agree the cleaning method before issuing a fixed written quote. Published rates run from £2.00 to £2.80/m² with a £250 minimum per visit; no VAT is added. Separate buildings and stair areas need their own confirmed scope.

Evening, overnight and weekend work is included within the agreed scope. Supply the building’s loading, lift and contractor-access instructions at survey. For driving-zone rules and charges, use Transport for London’s current guidance for the actual address and date.

Local booking questions

Can the office and the shared stairs be cleaned on one visit?

Yes, where the occupier and the managing agent each approve their own scope and access can be coordinated. Each scope keeps its own price, approver and completion record. We clean commercial and communal areas only, not inside private homes.

Do you offer recurring carpet maintenance in Clapham?

Yes. The survey establishes which zones need attention, the visit scope and a suitable frequency. Initial deep cleaning and ongoing maintenance can be quoted separately.

What do you need to arrange a survey?

The company name, site postcode, building type and a contact who can arrange access. Floor plans and an approximate carpet area are useful if available; we confirm measurements on site.
