Define the carpeted handover areas

  • Communal carpet in cores, corridors and lobbies.
  • Carpeted marketing suites and show areas appointed by the developer.
  • Other carpeted spaces included in the contractor’s written scope.

We work for the developer, main contractor or commercial operator. Identify the carpet separately from other finishes and include any protection residue or visible damage in the survey.

Sequence the clean after the relevant trades

Agree when areas are released, when protection can be removed and whether dust-generating or snagging work will continue. Suitable dry-soil removal is part of preparation; the following method depends on the carpet and contamination assessed.

Keep each phase and re-clean visible

A programme can be organised by building, core and floor. Identify any anticipated re-clean after snagging as a separate scope. A slipped block should trigger a review of the sequence and access, with changes agreed in writing.

Inspect residue and damage before treatment

Protection adhesives, paint marks and other residues are assessed before a method is selected. Test a suitable area where needed, follow manufacturer instructions and record permanent damage. We do not promise that every construction mark can be removed.

Handover with the record

Agree the inspection contact, drying arrangements and completion record before the visit. Keep the relevant RAMS, COSHH documents and insurance certificate with the site file. Once the building is occupied, a separate maintenance programme can be agreed.
