Start with who can appoint each area

For a business around Monument, send the full site postcode and identify which carpeted areas your organisation manages. We confirm coverage and survey availability for the actual address. Offices, shared corridors and entrance lobbies can have separate appointing contacts within the same building.

If several parties want work during one access window, keep their instructions and approving contacts clear. A coordinated visit still needs an agreed scope for each area. The survey checks the boundaries before the written quote is prepared.

Map the tenant and shared-area scopes

Use this responsibility brief with your office contact and managing team. Confirm who controls the area and who can approve the work, rather than assuming one instruction covers the whole building.

Connect unloading with the carpeted floor

Ask the building team for the actual unloading point, permitted entrance, security process and equipment route. Where a lift booking or contractor document is required, confirm it for both arrival and departure before a work date is fixed.

  • Arrival contact: who meets the team and can resolve a changed entrance or unavailable lift.
  • Working routes: which corridors must remain available to occupants and how cleaning zones will be separated.
  • Services and furniture: agreed water and power access, what can move and who clears each area.
  • Occupation: when each zone is released and next needed, including early starters and other contractors.

Make the handback useful to the next person

Name the contact who can inspect each completed area and keep the room or corridor references consistent with the quote. The completion record should make any exception easy to find.

  • Included areas: record which floors and zones were completed within the agreed scope.
  • Exceptions: note inaccessible carpet, fixed furniture, remaining marks or areas requiring further assessment.
  • Reopening: check the actual carpet, drying conditions and safe routes before returning a zone to use.
  • Next action: record who will review an unresolved item and whether another scope or instruction is required.

A completion record describes the visit. It should not turn an unresolved issue into an assumed sign-off or a new booking.

Assess the carpet before choosing the programme

Carpet tiles, fitted carpet and stairs can need different attention. We check fibre, backing, installation, condition and previous treatments before agreeing the method. Pristine does not hot-water-extract viscose, rayon or art silk. Cleaning cannot reverse worn pile or permanent colour loss.

An initial clean and recurring visits can be scoped separately. Record high-traffic areas using the same floor and zone names so the next review can decide where maintenance is needed. Upholstery is assessed separately; private-home carpets and specialist hard-floor treatment are outside this service.

A survey first. A written scope before booking.

At the free site survey we measure the agreed carpeted areas, assess condition and confirm access. Published carpet rates range from £2.00 to £2.80/m², with a £250 minimum per visit and no VAT added. The actual quote sets the measured areas, method, exclusions, furniture responsibilities and working window. Separate buildings and stair areas need their own confirmed scope.

Questions before the survey

Do you cover commercial buildings around Monument?

We consider office and managed shared-area carpet-cleaning enquiries around Monument. Send the full address and postcode so coverage, survey access and availability can be confirmed.

Can our tenant office and shared lobby be cleaned on the same visit?

They can be considered together where both appointing parties approve the work and access permits it. Keep areas, contacts, budgets and any separate purchase orders clear in the written scopes.

Who decides when a cleaned corridor reopens?

The responsible site team agrees the reopening arrangements at survey. Inspection considers the actual carpet, drying and safe routes before return to use; a booked finishing time is not a drying guarantee.

What happens if an area cannot be reached?

The written scope records known exclusions. If access changes during the visit, record the affected area and agree the next action with the appointing contact. Further work or a return visit needs its own agreed instruction.
