Build specialist carpet care into the building’s routine
Send the Barbican site address and postcode, the carpeted areas to assess and the contact who can arrange access. Coverage and survey availability are confirmed for the actual building. This service covers commercial offices and appointed communal carpets, with commercial seating assessed separately.
Regular vacuuming and specialist carpet cleaning have different roles. If your site already has a routine cleaning team, keep the existing responsibilities clear and agree what they should prepare before the visit and resume afterwards. This enquiry does not assume a change of routine cleaning contractor.

Agree the handoff with the regular cleaning team
Use the same room, corridor and floor references in the survey brief and completion record. Confirm the practical arrangements with the building’s authorised contact rather than relying on a message passed between shifts.

| Stage | Agree with the site team | Record for the next shift |
|---|---|---|
| Before the visit | Which carpeted zones are released, who clears loose items and any known marks or previous treatments. | The included areas, exclusions and contact who can resolve access questions. |
| During the work | How occupied routes remain usable and who can approve a changed instruction. | Any room not released or carpet that needs separate assessment. |
| Before reopening | Who inspects the carpet and confirms actual drying and safe routes. | Areas completed, remaining concerns and restrictions that still apply. |
| After the handback | When routine tasks resume and how recurring marks are reported. | The visit date, room references and person responsible for the next review. |
Keep communal routes and private rooms distinct
List the carpeted entrance, lift approaches, corridors and stairs that the managing team can appoint. An access arrangement for one area does not authorise work in another. Carpets inside private homes and specialist hard-floor treatment are outside this service.
Where people remain in the building, ask the responsible site team which routes must stay available, how temporary restrictions are communicated and who approves each area’s return to use. Share the site’s current requirements; we do not assume a particular building layout or local access rule.
Share the carpet history before choosing a method
Give the survey contact any available specification, manufacturer care instructions and previous treatment details. Note marks that reappear, loose tiles, floor boxes and areas where routine access is difficult. An unknown fibre or past product should be recorded as unknown, rather than guessed.
We assess fibre, backing, installation and condition before choosing extraction or suitable low-moisture maintenance. Pristine does not hot-water-extract viscose, rayon or art silk. Cleaning cannot repair wear or permanent colour loss, and an uncertain result may need a test area before wider work is agreed.
Use the handback to plan the next review
The completion record should identify treated areas, exceptions and any remaining issue against the agreed scope. Give the next shift enough information to avoid treating an unresolved mark without its history. A recorded concern is a review item, not an automatic instruction for more work.
An initial restorative clean and later maintenance can be priced separately. Review the carpet after it returns to normal use before setting a programme. Busy entrance routes may need a different scope from quieter rooms; a recurring visit need not repeat the whole first clean.
Confirm the scope and price at a free survey
Published carpet rates range from £2.00 to £2.80/m², with a £250 minimum per visit and no VAT added. At survey we confirm the measured area, condition, method and access. The fixed written quote records included areas, exclusions, furniture responsibilities and the work window. Separate buildings and stair areas need their own confirmed scope. Upholstery is assessed and quoted separately.
Evening or weekend work can be discussed subject to availability and a suitable access and drying plan. Share the next occupied time and any required insurance or work documents before a date is agreed.
Questions before the survey
Do you cover offices and communal carpets around Barbican?
We consider commercial office and managed communal carpet-cleaning enquiries around Barbican. Send the full address and postcode so coverage, access and survey availability can be confirmed.
Can our regular cleaning contractor remain in place?
Yes. Specialist carpet work can be scoped alongside the existing routine team. Agree preparation, access, reporting and when routine tasks resume; this service does not assume a change of contractor.
Can you clean carpets inside private flats?
No. This service is for commercial offices and appointed managed communal carpets. Private-home carpets are outside the service.
Who decides when a communal corridor can reopen?
Agree that responsibility with the site team before booking. The decision needs the actual carpet, drying conditions and safe routes checked, rather than relying only on the planned finishing time.
